A Disturbance in the Force-Star Wars Mania

As any true Star Wars FUNatic knows, discount viagra sovaldi there was a recent disturbance in the Force. It could be felt nationwide with the latest teaser of “The Force Awakens, cialis clinic ” the next installment in the Star Wars series in theaters December 18th.

This is the first Star Wars film of the social media age. Since the teaser was the most informative to date, no rx it sent hard-core fans into major analyzing tizzies. I have read articles analyzing each frame of the teaser, countless articles speculating the storyline, and one article actually counting the number of dead bodies. And, for me, where’s Luke Skywalker?

There’s no question about it – the Star Wars craze is here to stay and may be the biggest of all time. In the first hour after the “Force Awakens” teaser aired during Monday Night Football, 1.3 million people interacted with it on Facebook and tweets came at a pace of 17,000 per minute.

As the trailer’s release was coordinated with the launch of advance ticket sales, the volume of unprecedented orders caused several sites to go down. The second-largest theater chain in the country, AMC Theaters, sold out more than 1,000 shows nationwide in less than 12 hours. It seems likely that by the time this Star Wars movie finishes its run, it could topple box office return records.

Regardless of the marketing hype, ridiculous merchandising, and fanatic fan speculations, Star Wars is tons of fun for everyone and spans the generations. May the Force continue to be with us! (and thank you George Lucas!!)
