Ever wonder where the famous Mickey Mouse Ears came from?
It all started many years ago (October 1955) when the original Mickey Mouse Club was first televised. The Club, buy viagra a creation of Walt Disney, was a variety program for children. The cast was made up of children and teens known as the Mouseketeers.
The Head Mouseketeer and show host was Jimmie Dodd, a songwriter. In fact, he wrote the opening theme song “The Mickey Mouse March” which you can still hear in Disney entertainment from time to time.
The other adult on the show – the Big Mouseketeer – was Roy Williams, a staff artist at Disney. It was Roy who suggested the Mickey Mouse ears worn by the Mouseketeers which he also helped to create along with Chuck Keehne, Hal Adelquist and Bill Walsh (who were responsible for the production of the show).
Little did they know that 60+ years later the Mickey Mouse Ears would be one of the most recognizable icons in the world.
