Electrical Water Pageant Still Floats Around Disney

Each night the little known Electrical Water Pageant floats silently across the waters of Walt Disney World. This light parade on water has been a part of the magic since 1971 when it was first introduced for the dedication of the Polynesian Luau.

Some of my fondest memories are of going to one of my “secret” places atop the Contemporary Resort (which is no longer accessible), cialis usa   and standing in the open air under the beautiful night skies. At just the right time, viagra buy I could watch the fireworks of Magic Kingdom and then turn to my right and see the Electrical Water Pageant beginning its show off the dock of the Contemporary. Then, a little later, the closing fireworks from Epcot would be visible in the distance. Aaaah, I sure miss those days. The good thing, however, is that the Water Pageant and fireworks are still going.

The 50,000 light pageant travels on floating barges to each Disney Resort located on Seven Seas Lagoon and Bay Lake every evening 9:00-10:30 PM. All lights are out during its travel time from resort to resort.  Like magic, you hear the whimsical music and then see colorful sea creatures spring to life.

I thought I would share the Electrical Water Pageant with you in case you haven’t seen it or to reminisce with me. (Note: the next time you’re riding the monorail passing the Grand Floridian Resort heading toward Magic Kingdom, keep watching to your left. There will be a break in the woods and you’ll be able to see where the Pageant barges are parked during the day.) Enjoy!
