Twilight Zone Tower of Terror Scaring Guests Since 1994

Since July 1994 these familiar words have been inviting guests to The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror at Disney’s Hollywood Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, <a href=cialis generic Disney’s Hollywood Studios” width=”300″ height=”200″ />Studios.  “You unlock this door with the key of imagination. Beyond it is another dimension – a dimension of sound, cialis a dimension of sight, a dimension of mind. You’re moving into a land of both shadow and substance, of things and ideas. You’ve just crossed over into (wait for it!) …the Twilight Zone. “

The popular ride is housed inside the eerie-looking Hollywood Tower Hotel.  Even walking up to the Hotel for the ride is a little spooky, especially at night.

Have you ever paid attention to the preshow or “setup” for the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror attraction?  Sometimes the back stories are as good as the ride itself.  In this instance, the storyline is very important for the full experience of the attraction.

Twilight Zone Tower of Terror Lobby, Disney's Hollywood StudiosOnce inside the hotel, there’s a crack of lightning and the power goes out!  Then you hear that familiar voice warning you that you’ve just crossed over into the Twilight Zone.  The voice is the creator and host, Rod Serling, of the 1960’s TV series “The Twilight Zone.”  You look up and see him on an old television which has come to life even though the power is out.  It’s playing a supposed lost episode of the TV series.  The episode shows the star-studded hotel on the night it supposedly closed on October 31, 1939 during a severe storm.  The scene changes to the lobby where five people board the elevator.  As it’s ascending, a lightning bolt hits the hotel causing Twilight Zone Tower of Terror mailboxes, Disney's Hollywood Studiosthe guests to vanish and the elevator to drop rapidly and crash.

Then Serling comes back on and explains that the storm tonight is similar to the one of that night the guests disappeared.  He also says that the only elevator in the hotel that’s still working is the service elevator located in the basement boiler room.  Guess where you need to go to board the ride – of course! to the elevator in the basement boiler room.  And, “if you dare” you’re off to discover the dark secret of the Hollywood Tower Hotel.  Serling invites you to step aboard and tonight YOU are the star of this episode!
